Matest was established in 1986 by Roberto Maestroni and Danilo Guerini after a long experience in the material testing industry. Right from the beginning the company meets up the requests and the challenges of the market, shortly becoming one of the world leading manufacturer of material testing equipment for the construction industry.
Matest offers advanced solutions for on site and laboratory tests on aggregates, rocks, bitumen, asphalt, concrete, cement, mortar, steel and soils, representing the ideal partner for anyone working in the construction and civil engineering industries.
Our main customers are private and research testing laboratories, road and general contractors, concrete and cement manufacturers, asphalt manufacturers, government authorities, ministries, re-sellers, engineers and consultants. 1986

Matest is founded by Roberto Maestroni and Danilo Guerini. The first factory is formed with a fine operational organization skilled to develop a small production of sequential testing machines, designed and manufactured by Matest to satisfy customers’ requests.
1989
Matest collects a long profile of important jobs. Amongst all, the supply of testing instruments for the Euro tunnel construction crossing the English Channel. Since then, the role of Matest has attained a new important spot on the market. Expertise has been the key of Matest progress towards the achievement of new contracts that led to important investments inside the organization.
1990
The production grows exponentially as a new industrial site is built in order to comply with a higher production demand coming from a wider network of agents and distributors.
2000
Matest can count on four production factories, covering about 2.500 square meters.
IT and electronic solutions become key components for the development of high-technology products in accordance to the more and more demanding market requests.
2002

Matest moves to Treviolo (Bergamo): the new factory covers an area of 4.000 square meters, unifying all departments.
The benefits resulting from the new plant are immediately evident: the production rate and stock availability skyrocket.
2003

The company starts up a business reorganization, duplicating the market share in a short period.
During the same year Paola Maestroni joins Matest management team.

2009
Matest is recognized as an official ACCREDIA metrological
centre LAT N° 214 for the calibration of compression testing machines in accordance to UNI EN 12390/4, UNI EN ISO 7500/1 and BS 1610/1.
2010
Matest dedication to research & development generates high-tech products - with particular attention in the field of asphalt – and the most advanced digital touch screen control unit, a first in the manufacture of material testing equipment.
2011

The original development of 2002 is expanded further in 2011 and covers over 6.000 square meters. The extension of the plant will provide higher production volumes and widens the stock for faster delivery time.
The
8th edition of the general catalogue is issued, including a more comprehensive range of new products.
