Vacuum Degassing Oven is an instrument designed to degas pressure-aged binder samples by removing the air bubbles created during the in-service oxidative ageing of asphalt binder by the PAV.

Matest VDO consists of a stainless steel vacuum vessel with a hinged lid to conserve space and access the vacuum chamber. It can hold up to 8 specimen containers thanks to a double face sample holder and allows selectable working temperature range from ambient to 200 °C with a resolution of ± 0.1 °C.

Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Manual operating modes are available, together with pre-heating setting which allows to save time before starting the test.
