The Los Angeles Abrasion Machine is a fundamental device for assessing the resistance of aggregates to abrasion and fragmentation. Widely used in laboratories for road and civil engineering, it is designed to comply with major international standards for material durability testing.
The unit features a heavy-duty steel drum, precisely manufactured to 711 mm internal diameter and 508 mm length, mounted on a robust base frame. The drum rotates between 31 and 33 rpm and includes a digital revolution counter, which can be preset for automatic cycle management.
A counterbalanced mechanism allows the loading/unloading opening to remain in a stable position during use, with a dedicated push-button control to rotate and align the opening as needed. The control panel is versatile and can be either wall-mounted or placed on a bench.
The machine is supplied without abrasive charges, which must be ordered separately depending on the required test standard.
For CE compliance, protective guards are available as accessories and must be installed for use in CE-regulated markets.
