This standard is the official English-language version of the European standard EN ISO 8491 (July 2004 edition). The standard specifies a method for determining the ability of a metallic tube of full circular cross-section to undergo plastic deformation in bending. It applies to tubes with an outside diameter not greater than 65 mm, although the range of outside diameters to which this standard is applicable may be more precisely specified in the relevant product standard.
