The Vacuum Degassing Oven (VDO) is designed to efficiently remove air bubbles formed in asphalt binders during PAV (Pressure Ageing Vessel) oxidative ageing. This process ensures the binder reaches a stable and homogenous condition, ready for further rheological or physical testing such as DSR or BBR.
The VDO offers three operating modes—Fully Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Manual—to meet the needs of routine laboratory workflows as well as advanced research. Temperature is precisely monitored by a Platinum RTD sensor, while an over-temperature limit switch guarantees maximum operational safety.
A fast-acting vacuum and heating system allows the oven to rapidly reach the set conditions. At the end of the cycle, the unit features automatic pressure release, ensuring safe and user-friendly operation. The double-vessel design accommodates 4 or 8 samples, increasing throughput for high-volume laboratories.
A front USB port allows data export, storage and software updates, supporting seamless integration into digital laboratory environments.
