Elastic Modulus Test System for Rock Specimens
(
Aggregates-Rocks
)
- ASTM D7012
- ISRM
- EN 1926
- EN 14580
The Elastic Modulus Test System is a complete and automatic solution for determining the modulus of elasticity of rock specimens under uniaxial and triaxial loading conditions, fully compliant with modern international testing standards.
At the heart of the system is a servo-controlled hydraulic unit that ensures precise pace rate control, both during load application and release. Thanks to a stepper motor–driven valve, the system delivers micrometric control of load variation, allowing exceptional accuracy and repeatability. A laser position detector grants pinpoint piston positioning and test initiation with a sensitivity of 0.1‰ of full scale.
In triaxial tests, the system works seamlessly with the Matest confining pressure unit (mod. C104MLPP), maintaining preload with extreme accuracy.
The system is managed by a high-performance digital control unit with a 32-bit microprocessor, capable of handling up to 16 high-resolution (24-bit) channels for load cells, transducers, and strain gauges.
Paired with UTM2 Software (licensed for Elastic Modulus tests on rocks), the system offers:
- Full automation of test sequences
- Profile customization based on various international standards
- Real-time acquisition, graphing, and result processing
- Load vs deformation and load vs time plotting
- RJ45 network communication for seamless data transfer to any PC
This advanced test system is designed to operate with Matest’s 2000 kN or 3000 kN high-stability frames, combined with the Servo-Plus Progress control unit (mod. C104N).
