Accelerated Polishing Machine for Polished Stone Value Test

The Accelerated Polishing Machine is designed to determine the Polished Stone Value (PSV) of road aggregates, paving stones, and concrete blocks, replicating the abrasive action of vehicle tyres on a road surface.

This testing system allows up to 14 specimens to be polished simultaneously on a rotating road wheel that interacts with a solid rubber tyre under spring load. The machine features dual mechanical feeders for continuous abrasive supply (corn and flour emery), placed on a detached support frame to reduce vibration effects and preserve calibration integrity.

The unit includes a digital control panel displaying wheel rotation speed and test countdown. A built-in water container with a flow regulator ensures a controlled supply during polishing. The polished specimens obtained are perfectly compatible with Skid Resistance Testers for further frictional analysis.

Supplied with:

  • 2 rubber wheels (for corn and flour emery)
  • 4 specimen moulds
  • 2 mould covers

Abrasive materials and control stones must be ordered separately (see accessories).
