The verification of the degree of compaction can be determined on-site by a simple procedure consisting essentially of removing and weighing a part of compacted soil and replacing it in the hole with sand by a simple apparatus recording the volume of sand and then calculating the density of the removed soil.

The kit is composed of:

S236-10: cone with valve and upper cylinder
S236-11: metal base with center hole
S236-12: calibrating container (optional accessory)
