The Asphalt Mix Analyzer (AMA) is Matest’s flagship solution for fully automatic bitumen extraction and recovery from asphalt mixtures, designed to maximize lab productivity, reduce test time, and ensure operator safety.
With its "All-in-one" closed-loop cycle, the AMA automates every phase - from pre-wash to drying - while preventing the release of toxic solvent fumes, thanks to its sealed and ventilated system. AMA is the ultimate choice for modern laboratories seeking a safer, faster, and more sustainable solution for analyzing bituminous mixes and reclaimed asphalt (RA).
The solvent-based system (compatible with tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethylene, or methylene chloride) separates aggregates, filler, and bitumen with unmatched precision. The recovered filler is collected via high-speed centrifugation, while the bitumen solution can be processed for further analysis (e.g. DSR, DTT, BBR).
Management is intuitive and flexible via a 7’’ touch-screen interface, where operators can customize test profiles, manage multiple cycles, and monitor safety alerts in real time. Optional connection to a rotary evaporator or integrated balance expands its capabilities, making AMA a complete extraction platform.
