Constant head permeability cell Ø 114 mm

Used to determine the permeability of granular, gravel and sand soils. The specimen is formed in an acrylic permeability cell, and water is passed through it from a constant-level tank. The permeability cell has pressure points at different levels which are connected to the manometer tubes fixed on a stand with a graduated scale. Two constant head permeability cells, formed by an acrylic plexiglass body held between two aluminium anodized end plates, are available:

• S245-02: cell Ø 114 mm six pressure take-off points. Weight: 7 Kg. When using this cell, two manometer tube stands mod.S245-03 are required.

To perform the permeability test it is also necessary to order:

• S245-03:manometer tubes and stand, comprising three tubes of constant bore, graduated scale, tubing and connectors. Dimensions: 210x50x1160 mm Weight: 5 kg approx.
• S245-04: constant level tank, made from acrylic plexiglass, wall mounting. The inlet, outlet and overflow pipes can be adjusted for height within the tank. Weight: 3 kg approx.
