High-Performance Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester

The High-Performance Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester measures the mechanical properties and physical conditions of concrete and other materials. By using known data, such as the distance between probes, it can determine ultrasonic pulse velocity, assess the material’s conservation status, and infer mechanical properties.

Included in the device:

• Touch-screen display with ports for two probes
• Two 55 kHz probes with connecting cables
• Calibration cylinder and grease tube
• Carrying case with handle and shoulder strap

Ultrasonic Tests:

• Measure flight time between probes
• Measure signal speed when distance between probes is known
• Determine distance between probes if speed is known
• Calculate Young’s modulus using Poisson ratio, density, and probe distance

The C372M can be paired with C386M digital sclerometer to import rebound index measurements and calculate concrete compressive strength.
