The phenomenon of bleeding occurs in fresh concrete and is due to the fall, due to gravity, of the heavier aggregates. They are deposited on the bottom of the mixture and therefore cause the water to rise towards the surface, where a cement slurry is created (mixture of water and cement). This phenomenon can be assessed using the specific Matest C199-10 device.
